The Islands of The Bahamas offer an array of dive experiences like no other destination in the world. There are sunken Spanish galleons, inland blue holes, caves and forest-like coral reefs, teeming with marine life. There are 25 different dive destinations on offer in this country. Some of the most exciting experiences allow enthusiasts to swim and feed reef sharks, an experience offered nowhere in the world except The Bahamas. Blue Holes : Sudden depressions on the bottom of the sea occur throughout The Islands Of The Bahamas. These depressions can range from 100 to 200 feet deep and many lead to underwater cave systems. Divers can easily identify these depressions by the dark azure shape in an otherwise light-turquoise sea.

Caves : Much of the cave diving on The Islands Of The Bahamas revolves around holes found inland that are connected to the sea. This makes for both an exciting and challenging diving experience.

Reefs : Much of the water that surrounds The Islands Of The Bahamas is less than 20 feet deep, which makes an excellent reef system for shallow dives.

Sharks and Stingray : Shark dives are spectacular to almost any diver. Dive masters attract the sharks with baitfish, allowing divers to come within inches of the sharks. Divers are advised to keep their movements to a minimum while watching and photographing. In order to view the stingray habitat, it’s recommended to simply snorkel or swim in an organised swim group.

Walls : Dive along reefs that range from 50 to 100 feet long, with walls that plummet down to several thousand feet deep. In many locations there are huge reef "overhangs" that divers can swim under, along with other water erosions and coral creations

Wrecks : For centuries, The Islands Of The Bahamas have experienced a countless number of shipwrecks along the reefs, creating exciting adventures for the diving enthusiast
