CAYMAN ISLANDS

The Cayman Islands are recognized as the birthplace of recreational diving in the Caribbean. Today, Cayman is one of the world's top dive destinations, with over 200 dive sites marked with moorings. During the past four decades, this tranquil Western Caribbean island trio has developed into one of the world's top dive destinations.

It's location and unusual geology accounts for part of that appeal. What lures both novice and experienced divers to these islands is a combination of attractions: with the famous Cayman Wall at the top of the list, which refers to the dramatic drop-offs surrounding all three islands. Within a quarter mile from shore, beginning as shallow as 20-35ft, the ocean floor falls away as either a sloping or sheer vertical cliff, plummeting 6,000ft into the unfathomable blue abyss. are one of the finest underwater photo destinations in the world.

There are more photos taken in these three islands than the rest of the Caribbean combined. Superior underwater visibility combined with colourful marine life, ensure fantastic underwater experiences.

GRAND CAYMAN

The secluded East End is Grand Cayman's best kept secret! What you will discover are small lodges, peace and relaxation, no crowds, no tourism, unparalleled camaraderie, and unquestionably the best all-around diving experience in the Cayman Islands The East End of Grand Cayman is for those who prefer to get most of their excitement underwater.

Divers come to the Cayman Diving Lodge not only because of the seclusion from crowds and tourism, but also for the thrill of diving the 55 dive sites of Grand Cayman's fabled East End which have thus far been named; many other sites are currently being discovered and mapped. These sites distinguish themselves from other areas of the island by their wide diversity.

No two dive sites are the same! Stingray City is located in the shallow waters of the northwest corner of Grand Cayman's North Sound. It's just inside a natural channel which passes through the barrier reef. That's important to know, as it explains not only where Stingray City is, but also why it is. For every diver or snorkeller who dares get in the water for their first time with these prehistoric looking creatures lurking just below their toes, the adrenaline still flows and the heart still pumps. It is still a world-class experience.

Best Time to Travel
:  Diving is superb year-round. Like many islands in the Caribbean, there is always a leeward or sheltered side where winds are less & waters are calmer. May to November is an excellent time for diving, as conditions usually allow nearly unlimited access to Little Cayman & the north side of Grand Cayman. December through April still offers great diving, but conditions may not allow diving in Little Cayman or along Grand Cayman's North Wall. In this case, the Cayman Aggressor IV will move to the south side of Grand Cayman which features some of the most exotic virgin diving in the area.
