EAST AFRICA

Visiting the coasts of Kenya and Tanzania or the spice islands of the Zanzibar Archipelago is a truly exotic experience offering a variety of stunning opportunities for the traveller both above and below the water. The diving here is characterised by white, sandy beaches, a myriad of species of fish, nudibranchs, corals and other sea life.

Diving off Pemba Island is among the most spectacular to be found in East Africa. It is characterized by clear blue water drop-offs along with pristine shallow reefs. Magnificent hard and soft coral gardens are alive with large schools of pelagic marine life, giant mantas, turtles, anemones and reef fish of every imaginable species. This unspoiled wilderness is so peaceful and the natural beauty so magical - all stress of home and work evaporates the moment you set foot on the stunning white sandy beaches.

Best Time to Travel :
East Africa experiences ideal holiday weather for most of the year. The heat of summer is seasonally often cooled by windy conditions, resulting in pleasant sea breeze. Being near to the equator, the islands are warm all year round, but officially, summer and winter peak in December and June respectively. From December to March and from late June to October, conditions are generally excellent for divers, with little rainfall and water temperature in the high 20ocs. The ‘long rains’ start in May and last through to mid June. There is typically a second, shorter wet season in November
