Diving in this area is defined by huge blocky boulders forming tunnels, arches and gullies, covered in coral and with sandy patches in between. There is game fish galore and marine life encountered on this reef includes the odd shaped Frogfish, Potato bass, Scorpion fish, Mantis shrimp, Paper fish, and beautiful Spotted rays.
It is said that a school of Hammerheads frequent this area because of the vast amount of fish here and Sharks are a common sight on dives. The coral life includes various types of hard and soft corals, sponges and anemones. Most of the time there is a strong current along this area, so it is very important that buddy pairs stay together and it is advised that only experienced Advanced scuba divers dive this reef. The boat launches from the estuary at Pomene and the reef is approximately 11 km from the launching site.
