This is a very beautiful island which offers you a rare taste of paradise with colorful coral reefs in crystal clear warm water, serene palm-fringed beaches and laid back exotic resorts. Koh Tao scuba diving is famous for it's whaleshark adventures, excellent training and affordable prices. Scuba diving in Koh Tao is an unforgettable experience, exploring the Gulf of Thailand surrounded by an enormous variety of marine life. Koh Tao and Koh Nang Yuan offer more than 30 dives sites to explore, some of which belong to the best dive sites in Thailand such as Sail Rock and Chumpon Pinnacle.
Koh Phangang is located in the Gulf of Siam a little North of Koh Samui. About 75 % of the island is mountainous, covered by tropical jungle. The coconuts are still produced and exported here and an important income, together with the growing tourist industry and fishing. This island offers the same diving as Koh Tao. Sail Rock is the main dive site and Chumpon Pinnacles National Marine Park is also a good day trip. Best Time to Travel : Sometimes it can be rather windy (and some rain) in October, November and December so the visibility is not always as good if you are diving then. The best time to go is February - August if you like the sun to shine down on your face too. But if you are not fastidious, you can go any time of the year and still have a great time on Koh Tao!
